The Trinity MetroFort Worth’s transit agency, has been diligently preparing for this global event. On June 5, 2026they launched their comprehensive plan, which includes enhanced rail services, additional buses, and special shuttles to accommodate the influx of visitors.
Enhanced Rail and Bus Services for Match Days
To handle the increased demand during match days, Trinity Metro has expanded its Trinity Railway Express (TRE) services. The agency has added extra trains and leased 40 charter buses to ensure smooth travel. Visitors can hop on the TRE from Fort Worth Central Station to CentrePort Stationjust south of Dallas Fort Worth International Airportand then board buses to Arlington’s AT&T Stadium.
The plan also includes special Cowtown Shuttlesoffering expanded service to the airport and popular shopping areas in Fort Worth and Arlington. These shuttles will provide convenient connections for visitors looking to explore the region beyond the stadium.
Non-Match Day Excursions
For days when there are no matches, Trinity Metro has introduced the Cowtown Visitor Shuttle motorcoaches. These shuttles will connect visitors to some of North Texas’ most popular destinations, including the Fort Worth StockyardsSundance Squarethe Fort Worth Zooand the Fort Worth Botanic Garden. Additionally, they will provide access to Arlington’s Entertainment Districtwhich includes Texas Live!Globe Life Fieldand Six Flags Over Texas.
The shuttles will also make stops at popular shopping destinations like Tanger Outlets and Buc-ee’sensuring visitors have plenty of options to enjoy their time in North Texas. All-day passes for the Cowtown Visitor Shuttle will cost around $10including connections to the Trinity Railway Express, Trinity Metro bus routes, and the TEXRail.

The transportation plan is the result of years of collaboration and preparation. The city of Fort Worth, Trinity Metro, and many other regional partners have worked tirelessly to refine the plans since regional leaders made the pitch to FIFA World Cup officials.
Trinity Metro has also created an ambassador corps to welcome visitors and provide information about the city and transit services. The agency has upgraded the Trinity Railway Express with additional cars and new software to update the GoPass app for users. They have also added new 911 capabilities with international languages to handle emergencies.
