The events unfolded when DeSoto police officers pulled over a black Chevrolet Impala for an expired registration tag. The Traffic Stop That Led to a Major Bust
The initial traffic stop was conducted by officers from the DeSoto Police Department’s Charlie shift. Upon approaching the vehicle, officers detected the smell of marijuana emanating from the interior. They ordered the driver, later identified as Kaden Keshaun Williams, to step out of the car.
Williams’ reaction to the stop was anything but cooperative. He immediately attempted to flee on foot but was quickly apprehended by officers. During the struggle, Williams allegedly kicked an officer, causing a minor leg injury. He was eventually secured in a patrol unit. Two adult passengers inside the vehicle were also detained during the incident.

A search of the vehicle yielded a trove of illegal items. Officers found approximately two ounces of marijuana, THC vape cartridges, and three handguns.
