A Severe Flood Warning is in effect for Angelina, Polk, and Trinity Counties in Texas, according to the National Weather Service (NWS). The warning is in effect until June 29, 2026, at 1:00 AM CDT.
The warning affects the Neches River near Diboll. Minor flooding is occurring and is expected to continue until late Sunday night. The river is forecast to crest at 12.1 feet just after midnight tonight and then fall below flood stage tomorrow morning.
At 12.0 feet, minor lowland flooding occurs, which may result in flooded boat ramps and trails. The current stage of the river is 12.0 feet.
In case of an emergency, dial 911. Follow the guidance provided by the NWS and local authorities. Avoid driving through flooded areas and exercise caution when walking near riverbanks. Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
