A Severe Flood Warning is in effect for Bowie, Franklin, Morris, Red River, and Titus counties in Texas, according to the National Weather Service (NWS). The warning is active until June 27, 2026, at 10:00 AM CDT.

The warning affects the Sulphur River near Talco. Minor flooding is occurring and is expected to continue until Saturday morning. The river is forecast to crest at 22.0 feet just after midnight tonight and is expected to fall below flood stage Friday afternoon.

At 20.0 feet, minor lowland flooding of the heavily wooded floodplain is expected. Ranchers with cattle and equipment in the river bottoms should move them to higher ground.
