The National Weather Service has issued an Extreme Tornado Warning for Palo Pinto and Parker counties in Texas. The warning is in effect until 5:15 AM CDT on June 19, 2026.
The warning was issued at 4:23 AM CDT after a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Mineral Wells, moving east at 20 mph.
A Tornado Warning indicates that a tornado has been sighted or detected by radar. This weather event may produce flying debris, damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles, and tree damage is likely.
If you are in the affected areas, please follow these safety guidelines: Contact emergency services at 911 if you are in immediate danger. Follow instructions from the National Weather Service and local authorities. Move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building and stay away from windows. If you are in a mobile home, seek shelter elsewhere as mobile homes may be damaged or destroyed.
