The City of San Antonio Parks and Recreation Department is making a splash this summer with the opening of 23 outdoor public pools starting Saturday, June 20. These refreshing oases will offer free admission to the public throughout the summer, providing a welcome respite from the Texas heat.
Each pool will operate six days a weekwith one designated closure day per location. Notably, Cassiano Pool will remain closed this season due to construction. The pools will cater to various schedules, with most operating from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m.while several will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m..

The June 20 opening marks the beginning of the city’s regular summer pool season, which will run through mid-August. Additionally, seven pre-season pools have been open since May 23operating on weekend schedules. For those looking to extend their summer fun, select extended season pools will remain open beyond mid-August and into September.
In addition to the outdoor facilities, the Atanacio Garcia Natatorium remains open year-roundproviding a consistent option for aquatic activities. Furthermore, seven splash pads across the city opened in March and will be available daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. through Octoberoffering additional opportunities for cooling off and enjoyment.
