The affected areas include Dallas County, Kaufman County, and Ellis County. The warning is in effect from June 7, 2026, 2:06 PM CDT until June 8, 2026, 10:00 PM CDT.

A Flood Warning indicates that flooding is imminent or occurring. The Trinity River at Dallas is expected to rise to a crest of 34.3 feet late this evening. Minor flooding is forecast, which may result in significant flooding of bike trails along the river and several feet of floodwaters in the Trammel Crow Park parking lot below the Sylvan bridge.

For safety, contact emergency services at 911 if needed. The NWS advises not to drive cars through flooded areas. Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks. Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
