A Severe Flash Flood Warning is in effect for Pecos County, Texas, until 7:15 AM CDT on June 5, 2026. The warning was issued by the National Weather Service in Midland/Odessa.
The warning covers North Central Pecos County in southwestern Texas. At 4:15 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen, with additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches possible. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
A Flash Flood Warning indicates that flooding is imminent or occurring. Small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets, and underpasses, as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas, may experience flash flooding.
