Anthony is accused of fatally stabbing Austin Metcalfa 17-year-old athlete from a rival team, during a high school track meet in Friscoa suburb of Dallas. The incident occurred on a rainy morning in April 2026during a track meet between teams from different schools in Frisco. According to the arrest report, the confrontation began when Anthony sat under a tent belonging to Metcalf’s team. When Metcalf asked Anthony to move, Anthony allegedly replied, “Touch me and see what happens.” Shortly after, Metcalf grabbed Anthony, who then pulled out a knife and stabbed Metcalf in the chest.
The Prosecution’s Case: A Senseless Murder
Prosecutor Bill Wirskye argued that the stabbing was a “senseless murder” and not an act of self-defense. Wirskye described the incident as a “sneak, surprise attack” and claimed that Anthony knew he provoked the confrontation.
